Ignacio has more than 14 years of experience in leveraged finance, private equity, structured credit and direct lending in Europe and Lating America. Before joining TDL in 2014, he was a partner at Capitania, the largest direct lending fund in Brazil. His responsibilities included the origination, structuring, execution, monitoring and restructuring of credit investments in industrial, infrastructure and agriculture through senior debt, securitizations, CLOs, convertible and mezzanine debt. He has also worked in the financial sponsors team of Credit Suisse First Boston, at private equity firm JP Morgan Partners and the credit structuring team of Barclays Capital. Mr. Díez holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from Universitat Pompeu Fabra and a Master in Accounting and Finance with Distinction from the London School of Economics.
Martin has more than 9 years of experience in leveraged finance and M&A. He worked as Corporate Finance and Development director at Applus (2013-2016), a Carlyle owned company, where he participated in the IPO, the debt refinancing and the acquisition of 4 add-ons in various geographies. Previously, he worked at Morgan Stanley in the leveraged finance and M&A teams in London and Madrid (2007-2013). Martin has also worked for PwC Corporate Finance in Barcelona and for BNP Paribas M&A team in Paris. Martin holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from UPC (Barcelona) and a Master of Science in Management from HEC Business School (Paris).
Edu joined TDL in 2017 as an associate. Previously, he was an associate in the Acquisition & Leveraged Finance team at J.P. Morgan where he worked for 3 years involved in origination, structuring and execution of leveraged buyouts, acquisition financings and corporate refinancings. Prior to J.P. Morgan, he also worked for Credit Suisse. Edu holds a Business Administration degree from ESADE Business School (Barcelona).
Founder and President of Trea Asset Management
Founder and Chairman of Trea Asset Management, Mr Tusquets is also the Chairman of Banca Mediolanum Spain and board member of Banca Mediolanum Group (Italy). Additionally, he is Chairman of European Financial Planning Association Spain, Deputy Chairman of INVERCO, Association of Investment and Pension Funds. Mr Tusquets founded Fibanc in 1983, a Spanish private bank which was a pioneer in fund management in Spain. Mr. Tusquets is also a former President of the Círculo de Economía, the leading economic think-tank in Spain and has participated in many private equity activities as member of the Investment Boards and Investment Committees for the Spanish arm of international groups such as 3i, Rothschild (Iberian Private Equity Fund) and Worms (Sicav Europe). He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Barcelona.

Steven C. Pierson joined the Philadelphia office of LMP as President in 2016. He came to the firm from UBS, where he most recently served as the Head of FIG Investment Banking Americas and Global Head of Financial Technology & Services. He was also a member of the investment committee for the UBS FinTech Strategic Investment Group. Prior to joining UBS in 2013, Steve served as Vice Chairman and Co-Head of FIG Investment Banking Americas at Credit Suisse. He began his investment banking career at Putnam Lovell Securities in 1995 where he rose to become head of its investment banking division. Steve is a member of the Boards of Directors of Engage People, Inc., Global Financial Credit, and Trea Asset Management. He earned his M.B.A. at the Fuqua School of Duke University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance & Management from Virginia Tech University.
